ADVITECH UPDATE FOLLOWING THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

15 May 2008

TSX VENTURE EXCHANGE: AVI                                                                                                     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

QUEBEC, QUEBEC - May 15, 2008 - Following its Annual General Meeting held in Quebec City on May 8th, Advitech Inc. ("Advitech" or the "Company") (TSX Venture Exchange: AVI) announces an update.

Sales and Business Development

For fiscal year 2008, the Company is forecasting higher revenues compared to fiscal year 2007, and is expecting that a significant percentage of sales, mostly driven by Dermylex®, will take place in the last two quarters of 2008, as it was in 2006 and 2007, indicative of the psoriasis market demand which has shown to be concentrated in the fall to spring period.

During the second quarter of 2008, the Company will launch two new lines of products issued from Advitech's technological platforms XP-828L and IM:

  • - An innovative concept of four different products for the preparation and follow-up of microdermabrasion procedures on skin.
  • - A line of bioactive growth factors targeting applications for immune system and cell growth management.

With these two new lines of products, Advitech fulfills his promise to from a one-product company to a company with a portfolio of products, and its sales cycle should be eventually spread evenly over the four quarters.

The Company has signed during the first quarter of 2008 two new Dermylex® distribution agreements for Hong Kong, with Associated Medical Supply, and for Iran, with Dena Darou Pars Company. Advitech has also concluded several regulation files such as those for Hong Kong and Indonesia allowing the sale of Dermylex® in these countries, and has been active with other strategic markets, such as Mexico in order to deliver products in the last two quarters of the current year. For 2008, business development efforts for Dermylex® will be focused on the United States and European markets.

Finally, bolstered by the positive results of two preclinical studies on wound healing applications, the Company has started a strategic planning to position itself in this market and has recruited experts such as Dr Howard Maibach, from San Francisco University, and Dr Charles Doillon, from the Oncology and Molecular Endocrinology department of the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université Laval Research Centre. It is expected that additional research results would be released during the second quarter of 2008. The Company's objective for 2008 is to enter this market through a strategic alliance with a partner, ideally from the pharmaceutical area.

World Union of Wound Healing Societies.

The results of the preclinical studies on wound healing conducted by Dr Charles Doillon, MD, Ph.D., have been selected for an oral presentation to the 3rd Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (June 4-8, 2008), hosted by the Faculty of Medicine and Departments of Medicine and Public Health Sciences of the University of Toronto. The World Union of Wound Healing Societies meeting is held every four years and regroups health care professionals from all corners of the world. This represents a unique opportunity to introduce the IM-fraction technology to wound care professionals and to potential commercial partners.

Financing Activities

The Company has accepted in April 2008 the terms of a financing offer from its financial institution for a $500,000 bank loan guaranteed by Investissement Québec.

Richard Bordeleau, a former President of Atrium Innovations' Health and Nutrition division, and currently the Executive Vice-President of BioCad Medical, has joined Advitech's Board of Directors at the meeting.

Mr. André Lemire and Dr Fernand Labrie have not renewed, for personal reasons, their mandate as Directors. However, Dr Labrie will continue to serve the Company as member of the Scientific Advisory Board. "Mr. Lemire and Dr Labrie have been Directors of Advitech since the I.P.O. in 2004 and their contribution has been exceptional. ABOUT ADVITECH INC. www.advitech.com:

Advitech is a health sciences and technology company with a mission to discover and commercialize proprietary and evidence-based natural health products.  Effective and safe, these products play a role in the prevention of immune-mediated inflammatory disorders, such as psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease. Advitech produces Dermylex® for the treatment of mild-to-moderate psoriasis.

Advitech has drawn up a research program to develop new applications related to wound healing.  This development is derived from both its XP-828L and IM technological platforms.

ABOUT GROWTH FACTORS:

Growth factors are proteins with multiple functions in the human body. Growth factors participate in the modulation of the immune responses and cell growth. Some growth factors are produced in the laboratory and used in biological therapy in extremely lucrative markets such as inflammatory diseases or skin care. However, synthetic production of growth factors is extremely expensive, which represents a major concern for product development.

Through an extensive research program, Advitech has mastered the ability to produce naturally milk derived growth factors at relatively lower cost than synthetic growth factors. The ability of Advitech to produce such growth factors opens up new market opportunities in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical markets.

ABOUT WOUND HEALING:

According to Epsicom Business Intelligence Ltd., the global wound care market totalled $7.2 billion in 2006, with a 10% growth rate.  Growth factors based applications for wound healing represent more than 5% of the market, with an impressive 27% growth rate.

ABOUT DERMYLEX® http://www.dermylex.com/:

Dermylex®, developed by Advitech, is an oral natural health product formulated to improve mild-to-moderate psoriasis symptoms.  Two clinical trials, including a 112-day, multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 84 patients, clinically proved the efficacy and safety of Dermylex® for that type of psoriasis. Dermylex® is currently available in Canada and the U.S. (as BioDerm, Dermalyx®), as well as in France and Belgium (as Psopax®).
