XP-828L Technological Platform
The scientific premise of Advitech technology is derived from the extraordinary capacity of maternal milk to supply essential elements to newborns in order for them to grow and develop a mature immune system.
Advitech has developed through its technological platform XP-828L, a patented process to extract and concentrate the peptides/proteins (β-lactoglobuline, α-lactalbumine, lactoferrine, glycomacropeptide, immunoglobulines) as well as the growth factors (TGF-β and IGF-1) contained in milk-derived products like whey in order to develop a range of natural products with therapeutic properties aiming to treat immune diseases and inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel diseases and eczema.
In humans, the bioactive milk-derived peptides/proteins and growth factors (TGF-β and IGF-1) occur naturally and regulate or modulate cell functions. Specifically, certain peptides and growth factors decrease T lymphocyte proliferation and differentiation. These cells are important cells in the immune-related inflammation response. These bioactive peptides and growth factors can also reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (messengers) by T lymphocytes.
T lymphocyte activation and cytokine production are known to be major events in autoimmune diseases and inflammatory reactions such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel diseases and eczema.
