Wound Healing
IM platform
Loss of the integrity of large portions of the skin as a result of injury may lead to major disability or even death. In man and domestic animals, scarring in the skin after trauma, surgery, bun or sports injury is a major medical problem, often resulting in adverse aesthetics, loss of function, restriction of tissue movement and/or growth and adverse physiological effects.
Multiple studies have demonstrated a beneficial effect of exogenous growth factors
Colostrum represents an important source growth factors. Colostrum is the early milk produced by mammals during the first several days post-parturition. Colostrum provides passive immunity to protect the newborn from opportunistic infections while the immune system is developing, as well as to facilitate the growth and immune maturation of the digestive tract and most certainly other tissues
Advitech has developed a technological platform (IM) which takes advantage of the unique biological properties of colostrum’s growth factors in order to promote well organized tissue reparation while limiting aesthetical scars.
The therapeutic targets of IM are the followings;
- Skin ulcer reepithelialisation
- Increased esthetical appearance of scars following a surgery
- Decreased microdermabrasion impact
- Increased burns healing
